V0.4 Changelog

VERSION 0.4

Quick note; + means an addition, - a nerf or removal, = being a change.

+ Added the 'Bolt Launcher' weapon! Fire off grenades that explode into lightning!

+ Added the 'Gas Hose' weapon! Build up a reserve of gas over time, then let it all loose!

+ Added the 'Katana' weapon! Charge up the weapon to deal more damage and unleash a whirlwind of strikes!

+ Added the 'Vampire Bat' weapon! Constantly drains your health, BUT hits restore it!

+ Added the 'Winged Roach' enemy! It flies in an erratic pattern before holding still and charging forward!

+ Added the 'Explodo Roach' elite! It dashes toward the player and becomes a bouncy bomb when slain!

= Games are now shorter! Easy runs for 5 rounds, Medium for 10, Hard for 15! Honestly even medium was just a
bit of a time sink, and I think these shorter average games will be better overall

= Bosses are being revamped! To be frank the bosses simply aren't interesting, it's essentially like fighting  a single Elite with more health! So they're being improved, given expanded movesets and made a lot more reactive to the player, requiring more attention and reflex.

= Additionally, Bosses are now immune to knockback and stun! ...Sort of. Instead, whenever those two statuses would be applied, a 'stagger bar' is increased based on the potency of the effect. Once it reaches a certain amount, the Boss is 'staggered'- basically stunned- for a time, and the bar is reset. The bar passively goes down, encouraging one to be aggressive.

= The Rampager didn't have many changes as it was already a pretty engaging boss. It now occasionally rushes
forward in its calm state, and sometimes re-targets in the middle of a charge in its Rampage state. The
frequency of these attacks increase as it loses health. Furthermore, the Rampager has significantly less
armor across all states, allowing the player to engage it whenever they please.

= The Hive is now a bit slower but also actively pursues the player. Instead of intermittently spawning roaches, it will fire off eggs that, after growing for a few seconds, burst into far more roaches. This forces the player to crowd control the boss' spawns while battling it. Furthermore, the Hive has two new attacks; it will hold still and fire an incredible amount of gas, and it will charge forward with accelerating speed, coming to a stop if it hits a wall and spawning eggs as it charges.

+ Reintroduced Events! These happen every now and then at the start of a wave and apply interesting modifiers and challenges to a wave!

= Roach numbers have been boosted! I found that only on the hardest difficulty did I feel the NEED to buy roach glue, poison, turrets and such, to deal with the huge amounts of roaches. So to encourage their use I'm increasing numbers across the board!

= Fire hurts! Fire has been buffed to be the top tier spray damage, with the caveat that it now damages the player too. Fire now does around 250% of its previous damage, while Roach Killer gas now does around 40%. Fire damage to the player is also reduced down to about 40%, otherwise it'd be more dangerous than most roaches!

= Buffed Roach Glue, it now reduces Roach speed by 75% from 40%.

= Buffed Health Kits, healing for 20% from 10%.

= Health Box now drops 3 Health Kits, from 4.

+ Collected Upgrades now appear at the bottom of the HUD.

= Reworked Vampirism!... Again. Now upon touching fresh blood, regenerate 0.5% of your maximum health over 0.5
seconds. This effect stacks up to 3 seconds.

= Nerfed the Mallet, it now swings around 40% slower and altered its speed reduction formula. Now it should consistently reduce speed to      around ~80% of base speed, counteracting the inherent speed bonus all melee
  weapons grant.

= Changed up the game economy! Roach kills now only grant 25% of the cash they used to, as the hordes would give a frankly    absurd  amount of money in the late game, but now your Salary has been increased! A maximum of; $200 on Easy, $150 on Medium, $100 on Hard and $50 on [REDACTED]

= Reworked the Ninja Roach! The idea with the Ninja Roach was that it would act as an ambush predator with it's cloaking mechanic, but the way it was implemented made it more akin to a landmine than anything, as it's low speed meant the player would often stumble across them. Now they lay in wait, then once they see the player they'll appear then a moment later charge forward.

= Health packs will now be magnetized toward the player provided they're close enough and there's nothing in
the way. This way the player doesn't have to try and grab the admittedly small hitbox in the midst of battle.
